Mr. Tact: I have just brought up TC9 with the following PvP changes:
Direct damage attacks (Armor Ignore & crits on Lightning Strike) are capped at a maximum of 35 damage.
Word of Death now (properly) does chaos damage instead of direct damage
Strength, Dex and Int have a hard cap of 150.
These changes are currently slated to be released with pub 38.
He admits these are just quick fixes but will be going back to them and tweaking them. It's a good start though in my oppinion. Lightning strike criticals were just an utter joke! doing 90 hp easily was so lame
I didn't feel like saying the word 'crap' as I felt like a bit of variation. Do not detract let it detract from the very good changes that are being put in! Although it's taken a bit of a long time to do so...
Why would any rational development team leave a problem for several months completely unchecked, when they knew about it already, then wake up one day and think, I know I'll band-aid fix it for now then fix it properly?
Surely the real way to handle that situation is fix it straight out without screwing around with band-aids, unless the band-aid is put in as soon as the problem is discovered.
Seriously, how many years have you been playing UO now?
And you still get lured in by the repetative bullshit chant of "we'll fix it soon" "SUPER SECRET PROJECT" and "in the next publish"
It amazes me just how gullable UO makes people, I was once guilty of the same idiocy, believing them when they made statments such as this.
Let me be kind, and feel free to reference this post in the future.
Mr. Tact is not going to fix PvP imbalance. He's going to dick around for a couple of months while you deposit cash into EA's wallet, then release some half-assed, playerrunesque fix, probably involving something neon that won't address the core issues but will give you hope that maybe, just maybe, the next publish will.
The current development team don't understand the core issues, they simply never will, no matter how many stratics posts they read and how much test centre gatefighting they watch. Anyone that had this knowledge has left.
I know in great detail the way the development team over at EA work, I would happily say all this if my gonads were in a guiloteen and would be sliced off if I were wrong.
YOUR GAMES ARE THE GAYIST THING EVER ACRCADEN CRUSADE WAS EPIC FAIL AND SO WAS ANY THING U MADE WITH A P THE REST WAS JUST FLAT OUT GAY U DONT DESERVE LIFE NO U DONT DESERVE ANYTHING U ARE JUST A GAY MORON WHO NEEDS TO GET A LIFE
Makes me sick that I paid for UO for over 2 years after the release of AoS, but PvP was actually only playable for around 6 months of that time. Been another 6 months since I quit, and PvP has been shit in that time i'm told.
30 months, 24 of them with shitty unbalanced PvP. EA must fucking love PvPers.
"Tact it's time to tell them we're going to fix PvP again, lots seem to have cancelled recently. You can even spend 2-3 hours fixing PvP issues if you want, but make sure you get back to creating neon items right after. How are the glowing turqoise Dwarf's with 90 base energy resist coming along?"

I still enjoyed it anyway, wouldn't have kept playing otherwise.
That thread was made on my birthday, and not a single one of you fags wished me a happy birthday or anything.
I hate you all and hope you are at least 45 minutes late for work/first lecture.
