Other way around.
NTL bought Telewest; the combined NTL:Telewest company bought out Virgin Mobile.

They didn't even have the brains to name one of their craft "Enterprise"

This sucks.

I just signed up with Nildram for my new house. It's your fairly standard ADSL Max package with a 50gig cap but interestingly it runs uncapped between midnight and 8am everynight so should be more than enough for me.
The other cool thing is my new place is very close to a good exchange so I should get around 6meg downloads compared to my 2.5meg now.

Roxin tell me what exactly you're getting from NTL now for how much?
I need to ring them and complain that jesus lookalikes get better deals than babybird lookalikes.

At the minute I pay 30 a month for 10mb down / 512k up
but I'm on a trial run of their new 30mb down / 1mb up service which should replace the 10mb in the winter.
I just wish UK companies realized that we need up speed as well as down speed, I'd happily pay far more for 5-10mb up.

Bah, you pay £5 less than other NTL customers for your 10mb service.
Also, how come you always get to trial new stuffz ?
Did you work a miracle for the CEO of NTL or something ?

I phoned them up and said I was thinking of trying another company offering faster speeds. They reduced my monthly payment and put me up for the trial.
I had absoloutely no intention of moving though, in the 3 years I've had NTL, I think I've had roughly 5 days downtime in all.
There's a great little forum for NTL customers, run by NTL employees though not officially of course.

I rang Telewest up last week.
I told them I wasn't getting good value for money, and that SKY were offering me more services for less payment.
When I asked what Telewest could do for me as a result of this, the guy on the phone said he'd put me through to the disconnections team...
True Story.

lol \/illa. You could at least have mentioned some kind of close competitor.
I don't think Sky are offering what we'd call a quality service..
Girl I work with wonders why she's been waiting for 5 months for Carphone Warehouse to connect her FREE broadband....

Telewest rang me today and doubled my TV channels, free evening calls and 10mb broadband - all for an extra 1 pound a month.
Also, £10 a month for 300 mins anytime any network (And 300 texts) on mobile.
Sounds good I think.
