I had Meite in my team, he's cheap. However with his proposed move to WBA/Hull I was a bit conerend about him leeking goals.

Team seems fine to me, Mascherano isent an out an out point winner, however, he's a guarenteed starter so you'll have a steady income, Muamba I dunno about, your other back 4 are solid though. Harewood I dunno about, O'Neill has a tendancy to play Carew/Aggy upfront, but im unsure his stats from last season. What's his cost? If he's around the 6mil mark (which I doubt thinknig about it) you could try and squeeze in Ashton, at 6.5 he's a good cheap starting striker, he'll hit 10 goals easy this season I would imagine.

Apart from that, good team, Friedel is a good choice I think, Villa dont leak goals.

Harewood was about 5 I think, I couldn't go any higher. I went for a stronger MF generally.

Also I wasn't sure how the points are worked out. According to my team page Harewood is just a sub, but I don't know how it works things out. My actually top 11 I think is about as solid as it could be.

Yeah, however, regarding subs, if someone dosent play then your subs are brought on, you set them in order, so if harewood is first choice, he'll be brought on, so if he didnt play for Villa tha day its an automatic 0 points. Thats where im also struggling, ive gone for a starting 11 I know will bring me in points (Ireland im still unsure of) however my subs are hit and miss. Villa spent 6mil on Young so im sure he will play, so he will be my first choice sub, then its a bit difficult, Miller is fucking lightning but he may be 3rd choice striker, so, ill wait till opening day of the season and if he is try and replace him with someone who will play, 0.5million more and I can get Kitson into my team, dunno if Stoke will score alot tho.

Meite is on the bring on a move to WBA, so, if he's gonna play more than Edgar ill replace him as my last choice sub.

Dropped Rio/Deco in an attempt to bring extra STR to my defense, Young should be a good replacement for Deco. Will see how it goes the first two weeks

Interesting choice Merc. N'Zogiba could prove a shrewd purchase, i cant see him playing LB all season.

On the others, Nolan/Kapo/Bullard are all points winners for thier teams, not in the terms of Fab etc, but gettin them has allowed you to get a v.strong attack and defense, and Defoe on the bench is best.

but seriously, picking a teams "star" nolan/bullard etc is a decent way to get cheap points as they get the "best player" point bonus alot etc and i like having a star as 1st reserve incase somebody gets "rested" etc when i expect them to play lol (see anelka, torres)

Aye true Merc, see where your coming from.

Im happy with my team, Bent has been lightning in pre-season, fingers crossed he gets the nod. I may change Ireland/Dempsey and go down your route of picking a lower teams star, although I think Dempsey falls into that category.
