i like wow pve, i dunno, it crushes uo pve in terms of complexity, and some of the higher end bosses require some decent tactics and coordination. the 1 thing that does aggrieve me about wow is it aint like uo, where you can login and if ur level cap and have mad skillz u can crush all. the progression is fun, but annoying at times when certain bosses are just pure gear check bosses.
and yeh being in a 30-40 man guild is a must, and im lucky im in a good un without many retards
i agree that wow pve can be enjoyable, but the real problem is the time and dedication it takes.
you can't randomly log in and play, you have a schedule. you can't be in a high level raiding guild and have a real life at the same time. you can pretend that you do, but you dont.
tbh im lucky that my 3gms are so fucking organised our raids are up for signing about 1 week in advance, and drafted several days before into the raid team.
so i raid when i want really, as we raid 7 days a week, and have farm groups on several off those days where 1 is on farm 1 is on progression etcetc
iv been on shitty evening shifts for 3 weeks so iv only raided weekends for 3 weeks, and due to that i was given raid draft proirity etcetc. very well run, but it has to be to work

Raiding sounds more like hard work than enjoyment.
it is very hard work to organise, but if your just a raider, then its alot simpler, check the raid page every few days, signup for what ya want, check if ya in, if ya in you attend, if not go grind gold or quests or instances or whatever else u do at endgame (pvp? O;)
based on that i know i play 95% of evenings, tis easy to manage for me heh
I really enjoyed levelling my character on wow and low level PvP but absolutely could not stand endgame. Gearing up chars etc. is so much effort. All I really wanted to do was raid towns but the grind to get a decent set of items was unbelievable.
im currently setting up my 29 mage twink, as my main is a resto shammy and pvp on a healer sucks bigtime, and i prefer lower level pvp too, at 70 its so gear based, class based, that i find skill becomes a lower factor, at least twink vs twink at 19/29 is funnish pvp
yeh zole summed it up, basically pvp in wow has an area(s) called battlegrounds, which are fixed number team vs team objective type pvps (typically a game is 20-40minutes), and these bgs are split into level whereas the top level per rank is x9 (19/29/39 etc). so twinking a 19/29 is most common thing to do past endgame pvp or endgame raiding.
I don't really understand the fascination with twinking, seems like a waste of time, and I don't see how it can be that fun. My shaman was quite twinked at 39, and I tore random nublets to shreds, was fun for the first 10minutes, but it gets boring. I'd far rather have premade vs premade at 70. Not that it goes on a great deal in my BG, since there is a lack of out and out pvp guilds.
