Broadbandz

Post by Angus »

Alright guys...

We're currently with Virgin Media, on their "8 meg" service, however we're changing flats and a new guy is movin in, so we're lookin at a hugh increase in our useage, at the moment Its used for 360 online, ps3 online and 2 PC's, added on top of that now, an extra 360 and PC for online use.

So, i was lookin at the 20meg service for £20 a month, anyone using it? Or recomendatinos for other services?

I use the 20 megz - It's "up to" 20 megz though, I get about 600-700 k/s most times, though sometimes I can get up to 2 mb/s
But then it sounds like you want bandwidth not speed. It might be worth just getting 2 installed, one ADSL for the consoles and the cable for the PCs

I too have the 20mb broadband from Virgin.
It's OK - very rare to get downtime in my experience.
I get a fairly consistent 2mb a sec using newsgroups (which utilise your max capability).

Varies from area to area I suppose.
