This game is awesome.

It really is an awesome and very addictive game. Each song has a scoreboard, so you can compete with your mates. Costs $10 (around 6 quid) and its well worth it.
Been having some wars with toki over high scores for certain songs. It's a fun way to listen to your own music but the real fun comes from competing for scores with your friends, and sending eachother songs.
Would be good if a few people get this, we coudl each upload some good songs to play and try get good scorez!
Theres lots of different modes. I like the simple mode you can see in the video below, dodge grey blocks and collect coloured ones, but there are tetris type modes where you need to match colours to get points.
If you wanna see a fast song in action, look here! FIRE N FLAMEZ

Yeah, though some songs don't actually have scoreboards. But they are usually the ones that are named incorrectly. Me and Zole both did this mental song perfectly then realized there wasnt actually a scoreboard for it.Calix wrote:Can you play any track/song?

Yeah any song you want and a scoreboard is created. The only thing is when songs are named incorrectly or something.. as long as its named properly a scoreboard will be made.
I've been making note of songs which i think will be difficult when im listening to my ipod and then i get excited thinking about playing it later.
BTW Toki i got a version of that metal song with scoreboard

It looks pretty repetative, what stops it getting samey?
To me it looks like a really trimmed down version of something like Wipeout.
I'm not putting it down, it's a good idea, genuinely interested in why you keep playing it. It's given me a pretty neat idea for a flash game, but I'm concerned about it's replay value.

YOUR GAMES ARE THE GAYIST THING EVER ACRCADEN CRUSADE WAS EPIC FAIL AND SO WAS ANY THING U MADE WITH A P THE REST WAS JUST FLAT OUT GAY U DONT DESERVE LIFE NO U DONT DESERVE ANYTHING U ARE JUST A GAY MORON WHO NEEDS TO GET A LIFE
the replayability comes from the fact that there are as many levels as you have songs...
the only similarity to wipeout is the fact that the "cars" or whatever look similar, thats where it ends.
The level is dependant on the song you choose. A song with a constant fast beat and very fast rifts make for some real frantic weaving.
It's fun to compete with friends for the highest scores, and also to discover certain songs are difficult.
Some non geek friends came over to my house yesterday and i was playing this, they all tried it and they loved it. They asked for an easy one and i gave one person an easy one and then everyone else got really difficult songs, but they found it really fun.
A game like this can be accepted now because the wii has opened the door for casual gamers. It's a simple premis and doesnt take any gaming skills so much as the ability to analyse and respond to the enviroment. Some modes are just like a mental multi coloured tetris.
I can't really explain what makes this game so fun, theres a demo of it on steam.
if you ever played one of those flash games and competed for high scores with your mates, you'll probably like this.
Even my mum liked the look of it cos i played some salsa music (actually quite difficult).

I'll grab it when I have more time to play it properly.
You say different modes, is there an actual puzzle mode?
Or is just the same gameplay reworked into more of a puzzle?

im not sure which came first the puzzle or the block avoidance, both are good and hard in their own way. With the puzzle one it's kind of mental to have to line the blocks up, quite challenging on the super fast songs.
On avoidance ones it's lacking the challenge of doing that but the difficulty comes from avoiding the blocks and collecting the coloured ones.
benn: yes im gay for this game.
Toki: r u cryin?
