Job websites

Post by Nixon »

I've signed up to several, as well as a few agencies, so far my opinion of them, is well... not high.

The websites to me, appear pretty awful. Basically I've listed my required jobs, and obviously my status is graduate, so why the fuck do they keep linking me to 60k/year manager jobs. Job hunting is fucking hard enough as it is, without being linked to useless crap!

On that note though, anyone have any recomendations of websites and such to check out in case I've missed any out?

Thanks!

Nix you did Games Production right?

If so, ill get you in contact with one of the old lads from works agents, Mike scrapped his degree, well, a 2/2, but I mean, it was lucky. He managed to get some big interviews, including Real Time Worlds in Dundee, before being offered the jon of Game Designer (aka no programming cos he's fag) with Free Radical (Haze, Star Wars Battlefront etc).

It's possibly not what your looking for, as its, 22k a year or such, but they were good, and got him sorted with around 5 interviews between May-August.

Anyway, aye.

No I studied Internet and Multimedia, I did do programming and such, and a little bit of gaming application, but that was more self study for my honours project.

Technically, we specialised in SQL, Java, HTML....

Was a lot to do with the process of the Software cycles, and then of course development of the applications and such.

For IT, the only jobsite you ever need is www.jobserve.com

Also, recruitment agents are like parasites; I hate them so much.
They suck your blood - they get a cut off your hourly rate for doing nothing more than forwarding your CV.
Complete waste of oxygen - the fucking cunts don't even know about the subject matter.
For example, one cunt rang me up about an "Outstanding opportunity" in PRESTON which was paying about half my current rate and required 10 years experience with Windows 2000.

I kid you not; I FUCKING hate recruitment agents. Biggest bunch of wankers.
Signatures broken since 2009...
