I started playing UO again recently, and although X Fire shows my addiction as HIGH, alot of that is just afk macr0ing.

Its still decent, but, if honest, i doubt its gonna hold my interest, i just cba with other games, and other hobbies just..CBA.

It's not the old UO team we're dealing with now, but EA MYTHIC
The game shown in those videos is a rough alpha and it's obvious, they would be crazy to release something that buggy.

We'll know in 2-3 months anyway, personally, if this rebuild of the client sucke... draws in a ton of fresh completely newbie players I'll likely play again.
Thanks to my amazing commercial skillz and Ebay's recent decision to refuse virtual property auctions I'm sitting on an obscene amount of gold, and I did enjoy playing before, just got supremely bored by the lack of anything to do.

Yeah. PvP ruleset is still fucked though and there's no one in fel = I closed account again, for now at least.

Are you playing Eu or Df Angus? Good luck finding any fights:(

I play on DF, i still know a few folk there, its not the same as before, fights are few and far between, i generally fill my time champing or such with a bunch of old guys ive known, we get raided by "ava" now and again, nothing special though.

I still duel when i get asked on icq, im very rusty though.
Still, its good till fill up time, tv at the moment is awful, and my only other hobby, par going to university, out and my g/f is the gym at the moment, and we've all been through that "im goin too the gym more often" stage, it dosent last.

Has anyone tried any of the 'bigname' freeshards recently ?
I sometimes hear about one called Metropolis that is supposedly very active, and the Defiance name keeps cropping up too.

Defiance UOR is a sellout.

XLX said he would never allow neons and shit to be added, that didnt last long... They even have elven things which the AOS shard doesnt.

Oddly enough, Legacy25 has just been mentioned again on the DFI aos forums.

The pvp is picking up on the AOS server with some good organised faction fights and lots of ganking, it just numbers it needs now.
The faction changes made to the UOR server are brilliant and the only reason why some people still play there it seems.

As it stands, there is no freeshard worth playing tbh.
They all suffer huge flaws. It's still possible to pull a huge number of players from all servers with the correct "building of hype" and "marketing" lol.

Kokane does Defiance AoS have Samurai/ML shit added? I thought it did but if it doesn't it might actually be playable.

haha even after seperating myself from uo for a year before l25 was active. and since it closed, that threat still made me angry.

No point in caring though, we had fun and thats all that really matters, just a couple of morons ruined the whole thing, although half the people that played would never understand why it was started, and why it was finished, nor would they really care, and so what.
