YOUR GAMES ARE THE GAYIST THING EVER ACRCADEN CRUSADE WAS EPIC FAIL AND SO WAS ANY THING U MADE WITH A P THE REST WAS JUST FLAT OUT GAY U DONT DESERVE LIFE NO U DONT DESERVE ANYTHING U ARE JUST A GAY MORON WHO NEEDS TO GET A LIFE
Nah I predict a bit longer than that, but it shows how much he anticipates enjoying the experience, he's not going out to learn all about PvP, he's planning to do it for a little while.
The only way they can fix it is to do as we did for Pub 25 imo, but not with Stratics dickshoes. Mr Tact just doesn't have the slightest clue about PvP and I believe he'll never be able to realize what it's all about, jumping into it as it stands now.

At the end of the day the game lasted over 8 years so that's pretty impressive.

Yeah, but unfortunately, there are those like me who missed it for a while because we were too stupid to appreciate the PvP and fel based ruleset so many years ago, and have only recently seen the errors of our ways.Zim Zum wrote:At the end of the day the game lasted over 8 years so that's pretty impressive.

I've played UO off and on since 1999, and I wish that i had known then what I know now. I wish that I'd had a desire and appreciation for PvP back then as I do now.
I suppose I'll end up playing some freeshard sooner or later because I'm apparently a bit too late on OSI shards.

lol @ bot
I wrote a big rant but realised it probably won't make much sense at this time
Anyway @Phule. All I can say is, you missed some good moments, but don't forget theres some faggoted stuff we waved goodbye too with AoS and quite frankly I was glad to see the back off. Random specials to start off with. (1/4 chance back then with GM Anat. Complete roll of the dice. That = Tarded)
Anyhow, you can play a pr shard, but I guarentee, it doesn't even give you remotely the same feeling playing back in the dya did. While I'm enjoying AI, it's no comparison. Perhaps thats because I've outgrown this game, after all I've pretty much done it all, or perhaps p15 (well slightly altered ruleset) isn't quite as fun as I remembered. I defiently think its a bit of both, in a way player knowledge ruins the game. And as everyones had 3 years now to analyze and look back on p15, everyone whos anyone knows exactly wtf to do etc, so its pretty stale, unlike the evolving pvp situation at that time.
I also believe thats a side affect from AoS. To survive in AoS you needed to know your shit. Not just bits, which you could get away with p15, and this attitude has been transfered to the rulesets, thus making it very strange to play.
The fact is, the devs simply don't give a fuck. The old team for sure had members that cared but staff higher than them, pissed on them as they wanted to try and appeal to a wider audience. In a way, it makes practical buisness sense, but in my experience, most players begin to grow bored with trammel and what it has to offer after 2-3 years, and start to crave more.....aka the PvP. This was more than evident with AoS, with a whole new breed popping up left right and center. PAD is a prime example.
But because there has been no stablity, no real movement, and no focus on a severaly damaged system, most people straggle along for a bit, then give up for good.
The only thing thats kept UO going for so long is the fact its like a drug. I don't know what it is, or why it's like this, but it kept dragging silly fools like me back. I'd guestimate that 1/8th of the current 'active' accounts are actually people just holding on waiting for a change here, change that realistically they know will never happen.
UO was absolute genuis. Aside from the graphics, which I actually prefer over some of the SQUARE million polygon per inch or whatever games - i know im i the minority, theres very few games that offer as much freedom as UO. Mismanagement and lack of vision is destroying this game, and this probably started in Third Dawn in my opinio. For sure that without trammel this game would already be dead, despite what some people will say about the increasing figuires prior to its announcement. Afterall its not just Felucca thats been ignored, great ideas, events etc that could have enhanced Trammel simply were ignored while they continued force feeding us shit that players en masse repeatadly said no too.
Hell the problems started with potential court case with the Seers and Smurfs. That was a major blow, many predicted would be the killer one - but the games still going 4 years later....somehow.
Anyway, enough from me. I ended up babbling on again, all is my opinion ofc.^^
