Its not for long i assume, i've played the beta and imo the only imbalanced thing is archers, they are recieving a boost as of now, but as with the other "hypes" it will cool down in a while. They'll get a nerf and there will be something else imbalanced.

Ask yourself, how long have you been playing UO without something beeing to fucking uber?

The graphics are awful, but its not like im gonna "hang" in elf town, sure i have to see the 100 newbs running around as elfs, but so be it.

Oh come on, if this expansion hasn't put you off I Garuntee the "PvP balancing" patch they have planned after will.
Look at what they're doing with this expansion, they're listening to U Hall nubs cries and trying to cram in all the stuff they want with no regard to long term consequences.
When it comes to the balance patch they're just going to be doing the same thing, listening to the U Hall "PvPers" which as the talented devs who left before being linked to this POS all knew was the very worst thing they could do to.

im leaving for school in the end of august, not like im gonna start playing a new game before that. I tried to get hold of a GW account, but with not much luck. I'll most likely start up with another game in a year or so, but for now i'll stick with UO. Hopefully the new expansion wont hit before i leave. I played the beta for a few days, and it doesnt look so bad, more items is always shit, but it gets people more competitive. Some of the new mods are wank, but its something i'll have to adapt to.

[sarcasm] Some of the new stuff dont look so bad tho. Seeing how glad you guys are with the instances and shit in WoW im sure you'd have loved this if there was no WoW [/sarcasm]

Winder, we arn't saying WoW is better (but it clearly is) we're saying that UO sucks more and more each and every expansion. AoS was when the downhill run was kickstarted and things have got progressively worse till this most recent patch which could have been released as an Aprils fools joke if the timing wasn't so badly wrong.

The item nature of UO plus the inability of the devs to balance it, the changes to the graphics, the adjustments to meet the mass market of UHall whiners etc. all lead to the downfall of a game we all once loved. We'd all agree that UO was brilliant but its current state is dire and it's sad to see what was once such an awesome and fun game ruined by the child like way EA are shoving addons and items down peoples throats to overlook that the game is devoid of any real new content since AoS over 2.5 years ago.

i know i know. just like you stick up for WoW i stick up for whats left of UO.

Surely some of you left becasue of the shit state it was in, but as long as im with my guild (which is the most important) and have fun i dont really give a fuck what they introduce. None of you have played the beta, and while screens and writeups can show something it eally cant show what the game is like. Fair enough, i havent pvp'd in the beta with uber items (yet) but what ive seen it doesnt seem so bad. UO aint that bad apart from archers. If they nerf them some i would have great fun.

EU is fairly active, i get good fights every day, and as long as theres fights, im happy. I might swap game, if i ever ruin the memory i have from uo with another mmorpg, but it would be a fast paced pvp oriented game, something like guildwars. Ladder rankings always was fun for me in fps games etc, so guildwars looks promising. I havent heard anything but goodstuff about it either. Maybe i'll see you all in some game we'll learn to love again in one years time.. Until then, ill root it out with UO until school starts.

Minimum Skill Needed: 80.1
Casting Delay: 4.0
Duration: 1-5 minutes (Skill Level Real / 240, minimum 1)
Area of Effect: Caster or 1 tamed (must be bonded) creature under the control of the arcanist
Arcane Circle Bonus: +1 minute duration per additional arcanist.

Death during this spell effect can possibly be reversed for the arcanist or a bonded pet under her control. If the caster or a bonded pet dies while under the effects of this spell, then she/it is instantly resurrected, restored to 50% health, cured of all poisons, and the spell ends. Only the arcanist and her bonded pets may be resurrected in this manner.

Apparently anyone using that second spell is a girl, I agree.

Fair play Winder, i get why you want to "big up" UO, but i mean it really is awful.
When item dependant pvpers such as Conny Cornelia come forward and admit this is a joke and quit..you know its bad.

But ok, as long as your enjoying it.
ill just stick with Fable on meh X Box, that game is teh r0xx RPG!
