That sucks
I agree though, teaching newer players is a really important part of uo, when I was playing I learnt a lot from people like raistlin, then I tried to help people like drizzt learn more about pvp and uo community, then he would do the same for whoever, like his friend hawk.
I guess this idea fell on its face when the new players didn't need help, they go straight to doom and come out a 'pvper'.

I disagree. From just macroing off my counts, sitting at Yew gate, and just glacing at UO every now and then I saw quite a few old school players (Roger Rabbit and some other factioners)

well, considering I never go to Yew gate normally and never went there when that was the only thing that some ELR members were doing because of the lack of action on Europa. The people who i've seen there are quite well known, but I haven't been out and about to see who is actually PvP'ing on the field. Some of the 'duels' i've watched there are so damn funny. UCH guy fighting some Fate guy with a healer and thinking he was good
