That´s a funny idea. Maybe the winner on each shard should receive at least one char transfer code for his victory. You could pay that transfer token from the gold you receive as entrance fees. The rest will be part of the total price money for the winner..
Pots are not that necessary I think. Nox mages are not that dangerous when they cannot use their infect strike..
That's hardly my own fault though Buster, half of my proposed events are beyond player control, if I had the ability to create stuff, i.e PvP arena, I would happily dedicate my time running such events.
And yeah I know this one is highly unlikely simply for the huge cost and rl tears it would cause anyway, but none the less, even if it got osi thinking wtf, maybe we should do something similar again, if there was enough interest.

none of your event ideas are really workable on osi shards easily (capture the flag, survivor etc)

Me and Nix spoke about PR shardage a while back, and although we can easily do it technically building stuff and doing the scripts we simply cant host it due tothe amount of people it would be limited to on a normal ADSL connection.

They have potential, but none have been done right, 6i6 have come closest with Defiance.
They simply can't have neon items and shit like that on PR shards though, if its done, its got to be done in a way that reflects more of the old UO than the new UO.
There will always be a problem establising a major playerbase, the real trouble is the map sizes. Even Felucca alone is too big in size originally for a PR shard, the map needs 3 towns, with a nice area for housing, and perhaps 2 dungeons with overland spawn as well.
There will of course be the problem with stale pvp, as much as AoS has done the most amount of damage to PvP, at least its kept things moving forward PvP wise. Not many people genuinely want to go back to an old system, because once they do, they soon tire.
I think the map is too big aswell, but if you fix the map to three towns etc, its not gonna be that nostalgic feeling. But, if you can counter this with some great PvP "games" i.e Factions, O/C(?), CTF, etc and add some rewards. Easy accesibility on regs and have dexer weapons static so you dont see some vanq abuser.
