He is using it in a context that is negative towards other posters, so it could be seen that he used the word nigger because he doesn't like black people. It's used in that sentence in exactly the same way as 'gangsta' is.

There's a group of 'kids' who I've seen around who talk to each other like they're 'gangstas', attempt (and fail) to rap, and call each other 'nigger'. They're white.
Does that make them racist? Or just morons?

..of course, his reply shows that he didn't mean it in the way I said at all, and was just trying to get out of it
