Those items are pretty shit Amber.

Heart of Lion > Beetle Carapace, need dci on tunic, and carapace has shit resists.
HoM/Samurai Hat > Pointed hat thing.

Book is win though, but hardly overpowering becouse you need wrestle.

No idea about the new weopons yet, not seen any in use.

Come into IRC though fool and you'll have some people to run with.

I disagree, all those new artis do is help close the gap between people with lots of money and people without. After all, the properties those items you mention affect, are all subject to caps. Unbalancing would be if they allowed you to exceed caps or carried ridiculous stat bonuses (ie totem and jackal's).

The hat has reasonable resist (too much wasted on energy) but is shit compared to samurai helm or hom.

The caraprice is nice but has shit resist.

The mage book means you have to use wrestle which we all know is now fucked, and also means you cant use a shield or cant pot.

Seems pretty balanced to me.

Properties may still be subject to a cap, but new items mean that it may be possible to reach cap in multiple areas/properties - thus giving a mage the ability to be a fag all over again with (for example) max sdi, dci, lmc, lrc etc
