1. You will first need to download and install the game;

2. Patch your game to 5.0.9.1. If the patch stops at 5.0.6 and says it cannot patch further (it should prompt you to pick 2D or 3D, pick 2D), if it does not ask you then open uotd.exe and select UO 2D. Then continue to patch your game like before.

3. Patch the client until 5.0.9.1. Hit 'Cancel' as soon as it starts patching 6.0.0 to stop patching here. You are now up to date and ready to begin. Your client should now be version 5.0.9.1.

Stole this from some other site and it seems to work for everything we need.

Thinking forward - when we are ready to launch or even just invite more people to test, is there a way of compiling a semi patched client into a working download? So someone could download a 5.0.9.1 client with any other custom mods/map changes we make for example and just jump straight in? This is 100% essential to ensure people with IT aidz (me) don't give up on install.
