In my effort to not pay a minimum of £30 a month to Sky purely for the benefit of watching football I've decided to try this out.
They just reduced their prices to £10 per month and for that you get 46 premiership games this season starting with Liverpool/Aston Villa this weekend. They also show boxing and American Football, stuff like that.
No contract but 30 day notice period for cancellation beats the 12 month contract of Sky.
They mainly concentrate on the big 4 teams for games so will make people like me, Cyric, Calix etc happy. Available on Freeviw, Satellite (im using Freesat) and cable. I did the online signup and my card was activated within an hour. It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside knowing im going to be watching Liverpool's debut game this season.

Ah interesting ZUMZUM.
Been looking at getting live games, but do NOT want fucking Skysports £500 a month.com.
Out of interest, we're about to re-sign to Virgin, i know, sad but true, its £20 a month for Internet & TV. If i go for just the internet @ £10 a month, i can use our freeview box, but we get no reception, or we do, but its shit, will this effect SETANTA?

Out of interest, how is tv rights worked out?
Do companies simply pay a % of their profits to the Leagues? Or is there a set price to buy a game?

In the mighty land of the vikings i have to pay to watch any premier league game. Its something like £40 a year, and its really limited what games they broadcast. Mainly games with the better sides like liverpool, man u, arsenal and chelsea.

If Freeview reception is poor then you will struggle to get Setanta. Virgin cable is the other option.
Failing that you can do what I did which is to sign up to Sky Freesat which is a non subscription one off payment of £150 and they supply you with dish, box and freesat card and install it too. This then gives you something like 150 free channels, mostly shit but include pretty much all the freeview ones. You can then use this freesat card to get Setanta. They had live Bundesliga on tonight and although the picture quality wasnt amazing it's still ok.
