Web based games.

Short Version : Link me to some fun web based games, particularly turn based.
Well now my honours project has been decided, it's time to do some hardcore research.
Basically, I'm designing a web based multiplayer game. One of the game types I'm looking at is turn based games, as opposed to real time. As much as I'd love too just dive straight in, it's simply not possible because after all it's a Honours project. I also have to consider that I've never designed an actual proper game, nevermind multiplayer.
Eventually I'll have a website and forums for the game, where you can keep track of progress if your interested. Although how soon that will be up I don't know, as that is something I don't have to consider until the latter part of the project, except forums/blog for my supervisor to read and so forth.
I'm happy to accept any feedback or ideas at all, I'll certainly be requiring testers, again in the latter part. The more opinions/help I get the better. (Noxin I hope you won't mind me bugging you with questions)
And for anyone still reading, the game I'm designing is based on Battleships - I am deviating quite a bit from the original concept however, as I have a large amount of freedom, and understandly the more complex I make it, the more likely I am to suceed in getting a good grade.
I think I'm going to write the game in Javascript, as Java is my primary language (I know they differ slightly), with the front end probably going to be done in Flash - although a jazzy front end is not essential, but again it's something I must research to decide if it's the best path to take.
