Laser Surgery (eyes)

Has anyone ever had it done or know anyone that's had it?

Prices have dropped considerably and it makes more sense financially to get them done than it does to get glasses and make constant optician appointments and contacts etc.

I'm really considering getting it done as I have really quite bad eyes now, mainly thanks to my mad sessions of gamaging in my teens.

Contacts are proving fucking expensive to me, as I should really be wearing glasses/contacts 24/7 as I can only see about 0.5m in front of me before shit starts going blurry.

Cheers

Friend of mine is looking at doing it now. He said its about £800 for both eyes, and is no use for short sighted people. Same reason as you though, glasses and contacts cost him so much.

Yeah my dad's in same position now, considering getting it, rl pheer of it going wrong though, it's like 1% chance but if it does, joo = blind, unfixable.

Somehow, thank fuck, my eyes are still perfect. Seems completely messed up to not be able to see properly. Guess i've got that to look forward to:(

Fixed.

Also I have nothing constructive whatsoever to add.

Just out of curiosity, as I know nothing on the subject, I assume this is a private health care option? Or is it through your opticions?

Personally I would never let someone shoot laser beams at my eyes, but im a big girl like that :/

If there was a cure for cancer, would you tell them "It's called cancer, get used to it." ?
