I don't think the capital will be able to cope.
Would have been better in Birmingham IMO.

Who are those people though Benn, that's my question. I've never met a single person who gives a fuck if the Olympics are held here.

I don't personally know many of them either (just a few, who will likely try getting tickets and going down).
I'm guessing of course, not like I've got figures to back anything up, but surely it's pretty good for trade etc, blah blah?

Don't ruin my whinge:(
Will be good for certain people, ie businessmen who can increase sales etc becouse of it, but for those of us that work for other people, just gonna cost us taxes irl, no benefit.

Thing is, i'm glad we've won it now. Wasted shit loads of money on the campaign otherwise. Least now because of the amount of money already piled into it, there will be some return (obviously at more cost...), i.e. redevelopement of some areas of London. I probably wont bother watching any of it though

I have GR8 idea.
I shall sell my house at extortionate prices to the KOREAN team to use as their base.

lol we've wasted moeny on the campaign??i woulda rather lost a cpl of mil than the 12billion its gonna cost to build this stadium and such. 12billion pounds ffs, that could be used for so much better stuff, like the french said at least they have a stadium, and really who cares where the olympics are held?? i very much doubt we will win all the golds just cos its 'home turf'.
