Poom is playing in Freedom's guild now. Also we might make a guest appearance on EU over the summer, but we're also considering another visit to an American shard. Just looking to find some more fights really.
Have to say that Character xfer is one of the best things OSI ever did.

pretty addictive game though XD thinking WoW or Guildwars myself.
I know some quests aren't easy but i think once players get some good group setups and tictacs a 8-man group will be able to complete every quest. I didn't pve at all, pve in guildwars is like 2-3 days for level20 and then a few quests to get some skills unlocked and that's it, then it's mostly pvp and a few uber quests to get rare items which aren't overpowering at all.
PvP is skill based and items don't make any considerable difference, it's a game geared towards pvp and teamwork, the special edition even offers free teamspeak server hosting. I don't think playing Guildwars beta for pve was a smart thing to do

I liked the different tactics involved in each map, and the classic pvp teamwork(assist trains, protecting healers, fast comunication to counter any move the enemy makes). Every skill has a counter, so to just be able to pvp properly there's alot of skill and group coordination needed.
I came back to UO so i would not depend on a group to be able to play, but it's gotten to an extreme, people just don't work together. Not that DF players aren't nice, alot of people i don't even know offered to help me learn to use my mage in pvp, but none of them were in a real pvp guild.
I also went to europa placing ghosts around to see if it was more active(no way i'm going to pvp on an american shard, i don't want high ping), it is a little more active but i didn't notice a huge difference from df. No real pvp guilds fighting each other, i once heard about the AI guild, but the only AI i saw was fighting at yew gate just like DF players do at brit gate. I witnessed champs being done by blues(well those blues i saw were a bit evil revealing everyone on the barracoon isle), a single red came and died instantly. I saw no other ghosts so there's not a ghostcam problem on euro...

rofl, sat here with the reply screen for 5 mins looking for my keyboar while i had it in my lap. but anyway..
EU is great atm. Most main fights happen @ random t2a locations, not at altars. Also, there are indeed alot of blues doing depise etc, but when the reds are out in force you tend to get massive fights where both sides loose people and ress them up again. This often last for 1 hour+..
Im not here to promote EU in any way. But alot of these lame tactics i hear about on DF. IE Deathstrike, i dont think ive encountered on EU more than once. Also AI is gone, so theres not 1 guild controlling champs, meaning alot of random blue guilds do champs.
We have a few forces worth mentioning on EU now.
Theres the Fate/|H| alliance. Doing champs mostly, quite alot of them, able to put up a fight, but notthing spectacular. Fate is Ex AI, but not even remotely as good organized as AI was
Team - Freedoms crew. Probably the best organized guild on EU atm. Alot of necros, really good xhealing.
NDK/ELR 2 of the same really, NDK mount alot more of a challenge than ELR due to numbers atm. Not allied, just mentioned at the same line due to having similar impact on the shard.
CoE - Bluebie alliance with reds, doing harrowers and champs en masse. MASSIVE numbers, but lacking in skill, should mount a good fight if countered with a 5+ man group with good healing abilities.
Factions are getting up and running again. Daily raids on cities, about 20~ man fights. Will sign up a blue for that in a bit.
Anyway. PvP on EU is quite good at the moment. Sure there are ganks, but nothing that are extremely unfightable.
Well worth a try IMO, im sure Freedom or any other EU player could second that.
