If you hold every spell, you'll interupt all his, and kill him v quickly. Duelled naked quite a bit, rl skillful.

Duririn; who in gods name know that Mage Casting Delay prior to AOS was 2/3 casting? wow would I really give a shit? I stated 0/0 cause thats what I always thought/heard it was at; I dont fuckin care but seriously no one fucking knew that it was 2/3 casting; I could bet so much fuckin money that someone states *I Knew* you may have know but how do we know that your not full of shit? Next off the only way to know is if some trammy actually shoved a thumb up his ass with nothing better to do... Thats a real Life for you. Where do you get hardcore evidence that it was 2/3 casting and even if you were somehow correct; how long did It take you to find out? next off if it was 2/3 casting how did you test it? Do you remember the EXACT CASTING SPEED of a Energy bolt? No I bet my life that you haven't; you probably heard from some nub who thinks he knew but didnt; Ive always been told it was 0/0. So right there we conflict and have nothing better to do than see it through cause this would go on forever; you can comment... certainly I'll read it I just wont have a say back; my offer still stands... 0/0 GM Magery GM Eval Blacksmithy Bought Armor; no Scribe; no wrestle; just pure mage. I'd wager 3 mil on it that you wouldnt win; your an AOS newbie with the 2/6 casting and the arty's. WoW good game
Your wrong. It was around 2/3, not quite 2/3 exactly - remember the way the old FastCast system worked completely nulified the recovery time, if you held the spell for 2.2 seconds exactly, meaning it was more like 2/6 for quick spells such as Fireball, if done correctly.

This is based on testing and figuires from p15 vs AoS btw.

The arguement about pre aos casting and now casting is a bit miffed, the whole approach changed with AOS, so its a completely different(captain obvious I guess) - which is why some older players struggled initially. As they have removed a lot of the skill with timings and such, certainly with the 4/6 wankness that existed for a while, but p25 rectified it quite a bit and casting/interupts were a lot more important than previously in AOS imo.

Well the immediate obvious difference that was hardest to adapt to is what Nixon touched on, under the old system good mages held down their spell keys and were able to do the fast cast. Pretty much everyone got used to casting like this, then AOS comes out and suddenly holding down spell keys makes you lose your initial spell, so instead of being able to get ready to cast the next spell before first one finishes (if you see what I mean), you now had to hit keys after your previous spell is targeted.
