If it was an item that I did not need, I would return it (Unless it was someone who I don't like (i.e. all of OMG and a couple of other people)).
If it was an item that I DO need (e.g. spirit of totem or jackals collar) then I would consider keeping it, unless it was someone who I actually liked a lot.
Either way, I would be unlikely to ask for money from the person - they would either get the item back, or not.
Still hoping Mr Dir Dir or Urotdokisojicockywhatever items all drop, so I can wear them and laugh at their ghost.

On reflection amber, the guy's name is Peter Andre. That alone means you should tax at least a couple of pieces.

I just tought about what people said on this thread.. and tought and tought until I noticed... are most of you actually "lying"?
I just remember seeing all these kinda things... "Who uses this bug?" everyone would say at once "no" even if they would use it! (This was at one point: Telebug) everyone said no, even everyone knew many who said no used it!
So in a way would you say "no I would give them back" incase if would happen to you sometime and waiting to get them back because you would give them back?
I mean... I am honest myself! I say I would keep them! Its true... why would I need to give them back?
Many says "I would give them back, this is just a game" but couldnt you think then... "I wouldnt give them back, because this is just a game!" too?

as i said.. It really depends on who, and most likely what item.
This thing happened to me right before i moved to drachs, i was lucky and got all back, apart from my gorget my sleeves and a 1/3 5sdi and some other mods.. It sucked hard, but id like to think i would repay the favor, but as my best pieces were not given back i would most likely keep the best ones for myself. (ie uber leather pieces, artis etc)

i wouldnt run after the guy who lost his items, he would have to ask for them... given that condition im 99% sure i would give the items back.
