There will be no new UO. Deal with it and move on.
Even if you made the exact same game, but fixed everything that was "wrong" with it, it wouldnt be the same.

even if they made a new uo you would still find something to moan about, think of how much uo pissed us off and how many times we all quit in rage.

Not looking for a UO clone.
Just a game that has looting, open pvp, no levels.

Darkfall is too much of a grind and is not solo or small group friendly.
Freeshards on the other hand... hmmm tiny populations and rampant admin abuse ftl I guess.
Also, I'm done with UO.

Villa just play coh, it's about the only game that gives similar thrill in victory and rage in defeat as UO did. Far more than AoK ever did for me.
I'd love to get into Darkfall but realistically I can't invest the time anytime soon.

News hit the wire yesterday of a new joint MMOG in development from Interplay and Masthead Studios. The game is currently going by the codename Project: V13 but there's hopes and rumors flying around the web that this could eventually turn into a MMO based on the cherished Fallout franchise.
The game has now been in development since late 2007 and both companies will be working together using Masthead's proprietary tools and MMOG technology which was originally developed for Masthead's "Earthrise" project.
Interplay Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Herve Caen said, "We are looking forward to turning the vision of our game designers into a compelling online gaming experience. The planning and design completed for Project: V13 thus far, combined with Masthead's resources, tools, and growing team of dedicated MMOG developers, will bring this unique game to reality."
Masthead Studios President Atanas Atanasov said, "This arrangement is ideal because it leverages the technology our professionals have specifically built for advanced Massively Multiplayer Online Games into what we expect will be a groundbreaking Interplay gaming title."
Don't expect an official confirmation of this project being "Fallout Online" anytime soon but be aware that Interplay stills holds the exclusive distribution rights to certain Fallout titles.

Is no one else bored of MMO's?
Dont get me wrong, if they re-did UO or something amazin came out i'd try it, but it seems every week a new MMO comes out and one begins development, its boring.
Even worse is when a game shows promise (WAR) then turns out monontenous shit, it's like at some stage someone has gone "LOL WE'LL PUT ELVES IN OUR GAME AND WE'LL GET A PLAYER BASE OF 500,000 NO PROBLEM, THEN HAVE MONEY TO MAKE A GOOD GAME" little do they realize the moaning nature of MMO players, lets be honest, we've all moaned /rage quit or such at UO at some stage.
I cba, just stop making MMOs
