What players did you sign? It usually takes me at least a season or two just to adapt to a new league.

in my napoli game:
1st season:
bastan furkan (free)
madgid bourgherra (275k)
rafael (1.2mill)
emanuel sarki (300k)
2nd season:
fernando genro (5 mill) worth every penny, sold at start of 4th season to AC milan £37milion after top scoring in Serie A
pekka lagerblom (free)
corrado columbo (free)
lucas (2.8mil)
maccorone (free from boro)
didier domi (free)
3rd season:
Ugur Yildirim (amazing on a free, has best stats in game, play him AMR)
Milito (argie CB 10mill)
fabio santos (5mill, quality brazilian fb)
javier Portillo (free)
there the signings that hung around in the 1st team, i obviously squad filled as well with lesser players
tactic is hugely important, iv been playing 2006 since its realise and only in last couple months have i found a decent tactic.
check out genro/yildirim/kerlon, there my recommended players
oh and if your lower league, check out Christopher Katongo, zambian international, scored bucketloads for my swindon side cost me £12k

I generally play 4-4-2 with two midfielders pushing forward.
Usually end up with one of the best defensive records in the league, with quite a high scoring record. A lot of tactics I used in old games or versions simply don't work for me, as their's too many weakness.

I have to keep changing my formation, was getting battered with the formation I used with Barnet in the Championship. Had to change it totally around. I will take some pics when I play my bro later today

thing i found is, at top level theres a hell of alot of wingers who are natural at amr or aml but either poor or not listed at ml/mr, players play much better in there natural postions, so my amr/aml are only back arrowed to mr/ml for some defensive duty, they have high work rate/teamwork/determination.
the best stat in the game is determination. underrate it at your peril.

yeh composure is also a huge stat for a cf at least, dagoberto is quality and has 19 in 15 games with finishing of 13.
physical stats and determination are the most important, as these will never improve by more than the odd point. technical stats can increase from literally 0 to 20 if the potential ability of a player is high enough.
getting full 5 star coaching is hard but getting 4s/5s in all areas is piss on a huge database, and affects youth threw to the most expierienced players.

Napoli is easy mode, but winning in 3rd season is pretty good. Last Napoli game I tried finished 3rd in A after 3 seasons, won it in 4th.

Fabio Santos + Lucas = love.
So many immense Brazilians on this version.

I think theres a lot of underated english as well, I mean I've had players with wank stats > million pound heros in the past.
When I'm with a shitty club I usually opt for good work rate and kickass physical stats like stamina and pace. Provided they have them two your sorted. I usually end up investing more in a good coaching team (often made up of has beens at the end of their career), and trying to get part-timers to full time. Can easily tell the difference between a team with good star rating in training and the one's not.
For whatever reason I'm not usually good with bigger clubs, probably because I don't get the time I really need to adopt a team to my prefered style.

my swindon game was my best, taking them to prem and winning prem in 5 seasons (and uefa cup in 4th) was a pretty gd acheivement.
aye napoli is an easier lower league game but still 3 seasons is quite an effort.
lucas is solid, fabio santos has been inconsistant, genro is the best by a country mile, absolute quality.
in my napoli game cost 5 mill sold for 37 mill after over a goal a game in serie A, in swindon game, season before i won prem he scored 72 in 54 games and scored about 50~ in 35 in prem season (after an injury) all after getting him from chelsea as part exchange they payed me 5 mill+genro for carlton cole, who'd id got on a free, from them :E
