Just noticed it's not a simple drag and drop manouvre.

Has anyone from OSI ever talked to about the shard? Do they even care about freeshards?

By care, do you mean, do they care they exist? Because, er, thats a bit of a moron of a question. Of course they care, its like saying "Do music artists care i download their songs illegally?", their losing out on revenue with free shards.

I reckon most freeshard players probably wouldn't pay for an official UO subscription anymore.

Hence I doubt EA are losing as much money as you may think due to freeshards.

True, but if all these free shards shut down, even if UO only gained an extra 50-100 players from them, thats a nice extra sum of revenue for a failing game.

Still...who knows.

I've not talked to anyone specifically about freeshards, but they have cropped up in conversation.
Thing is, the developes, legal, marketing etc are all seperate departments, unless one of them gets a stick up his ass about freeshards and makes it his personal crusade nothing will be done.
Hell, pretty much everyone I know who worked/does work at EA knows I made Legacy.

I was asking did anyone from OSI, as in staff or DEV's, ever give a shit, or monitor freeshards.

Erm, just another question though. If you have time to answer, howcome it's not just a simple drag and drop method for L25s scripts onto a RunUO1.0 folder (in place of its current scripts folder)

Eeer, dunno. I've not done anything with RunUO in ages and ages, Oh, it could be that I compiled my own executable to bypass the way players were crashing servers before.
I doubt it is though, shouldn't make much difference I just copied and zipped up scripts folder.
